Nat took off to the airport tonight, despite the cries and pleas of our eldest, and she is en route to the U.S.

Some highlights of my first bedtime as a single dad.
Jonah was wailing mommy, kalya, mommy, kayla I miss you. I went in and told him that I'm also sad, and Sammy is sad, but you have to go to sleep. Sammy interrupted and said, "I'm not sad"

The next time I went into the room to calm Jonah down, sammy informed me that "h"he needs his mommy, he doesn't need his daddy"

After lot of crying, all is now quiet, and I think Jonah has fallen asleep, Sammy is still awake and playing in his bed.
I'm going to have a L'chayim, and drink to the next few weeks passing by quickly.

Went, home, tired. Party still on. Still no volunteers for dessert. Can't write whole sentences.

Sammy was refusing to go to sleep tonight, he stayed awake in his bed even later than usual. A few minutes before 10 I told him that mommy was going to sleep and I was going to shul, so he should lie down.
"Why are you going to shul daddy?" He asked
"To daven to Hashem that you go to sleep" was my awesome reply.
"You should daven for rain"

I walked outside and lo and behold the sky had opened up and rain was falling.

What do I want?

problems i've been having lately

in my quest to become a jedi knight i have come across a few problems. the latest one being finding light saber lessons. i thought perhaps i can take fencing lessons and then start training with the light saber but then i realized fencing is generally done with one hand and the light saber is held with two!
any ideas?
