Maple Pecan Rolls

WOW! Mom, is there a particular reason you picked such a patchkie recipe as your break-fast special? I want to thank you for all fasts you spent making these. I looked at the recipe, and thought - you've got to be kidding! This is nutso. So, I went to the bakery to find something yummy to break-fast on. Well, not surprisingly, nothing in the bakery looked nearly as good as the maple pecan rolls I have in my head... so I bought walnuts (yes, walnuts go in maple pecan rolls - not pecans...) and maple syrup, heading back up the hill to my house and set out to bake them.

Now they're rising.

Hmmm, I hope they come out good.
