Its been a coon's age !

Greetings- Its been a coon's age since I last blogged.

We had a great time entertaining Gyli (sp) and will be sending her back to Canada in the morning. We Maid of the Misted- camped- swam- biked ( short bike trip- it began to rain)-played dominos. Now I need a vacation.

October 28th- that is our estimated time of arrival in the Holy Land

TORAH QUESTION. As i was reviewing the sidra , I noticed that if a man and woman had an out of context interpersonal relationship in the field- than the gentleman is stoned while the lady goes free because if she cried out- no one would have heard her. Question, For the man to be stoned there had a be 2 witnesses and warning given "toch kiday dibbur. ". How can it be that no one could hear the lady cry out?? signed: Confused in Southfield

  • Maybe the warning to him was earlier than when they were in the field, and maybe she wasn't aware that there were witnesses and cried out. And they did nothing to help her. Or they were deaf and saw but didn't hear. She is free and not punishable.

  • Thanks for giving avigail a fun time. Maybe She screamed, but his hand was over her mouth. Sick, but it happens.

  • And now you know why misa biy'dei beis din is mostly theoretical...and why the din of misa was very rarely (if ever)used. It is mostly impossible for a beis din to hand down that verdict.

  • Usually when men get stoned in a field, there's marijuana involved
