Jewish calendar
If you object to your Jewish BD, let me know & I will change my calendar to reflect your Gregorian one. Otherwise...
PS - Chodesh Tov! (Hopefully, that's allowed...)

Question for Shlomo: When someone asks you what time it is, do you give them the Halachic Sha'ah of the day? Or do you give the time that the "Gregorians" use? I'm not saying that there's no place for Jewish dates in our lives, but you cannot discount what we have been celebrating for many, many years.

We celebrate both, it just adds more parties and more fun

Time of day isn't a halachic issue for telling time, only for time-related mitzvot, like Shabbat & davening. However, there is a mitzvah to use the Jewish calender - it happens to be in this week's Parsha. It is clearly halachically problematic to use the Gregorian calendar. Despite this, I didn't "discount" what you've been celebrating - I just asked if you had an objection to the Jewish date, so that if you did - I would be able to act accordingly...
Chodesh Tov...

WE ALSO CELEBRATE BOTH. WE USUALLY HAVE A WEEK-LONG BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION INVOLVING BOTH HEBREW AND ENGLISH BIRTHDAYS. IT USUALLY INVOLVES 3 PARTIES THE DAY OF EACH ND THE SHABBOS IN THE MIDDLE!, SORRY FOR STARTING UP...

As long as you're asking... You can wish us happy birthday on both if you like, but perhaps stick to the Goyish date on this blog so we have less confusion.

i like knowing when its everyone hebrew birthday. I think its become shlomo's thing on the blog and it should continue, its not really so confusing, you can do whatever you want with the info!
