יום הודו
I had this thought as I was preparing to explain to my Ulpan teacher why I am skipping out on thursday class.
Thursday is יום הודו day of thanks, but הודו also means turkey, so יום הודו has a double meaning of day of thanks and turkey day...perhaps the true origins of having turkey on this special day doesn't have to do with pilgrims..HMMMMMMMM
