Hello, All.
Daniel has been complaining about his knees hurting him for the past few weeks and I finally for him an appointment with the orthopedist. He has Osgood Schlatter Disease, which isn't a long-term problem, and is related to his growth-spurt. (For those of you who care, he is now taller than me.) He doesn't have to give up baseball or have any surgery, but he shouldn't play catcher for a while, he should ice his knees when they hurt, and he will take an anti-inflammatory for a couple of weeks.

why do they call it a disease? A disease sounds scary. This seems to go away in time. I hope it doesn't get in his way too much.

Thanks. I'm sure it will only keep him from taking out the garbage....

I had that when I was his age, it sucked, but they didn't have to amputate my legs and I survived
