when did the whole Cham incident happen with noach?
it seems as if it happened right after they got off the boat but apparently Canaan was there and he was Cham 4th son, and there were no kids allowed on the boat. so how long after the boat ride did the story happen??

Ain Mukdam or Meuchar BaTorah. Also, 10 generations can pass by in the colon at the end of a Pasuk. Don't take the stories at face value.

Canaan was born as the result of an illicit relationship on the ark, which is why he was black.
He was Cham's first born.
