They're finally ready to sell the house. I'm going to talk to the lawyer today to write up the contract and God willing we'll sign it on Monday.

As is traditional, there is a slight problem with our plan. The son-in-law of the house owner told us that he wants more money then we offered. I told him that not only were we not going to raise our offer, but we wanted it at the exchange rate of the time we made the offer. A good 20,500 less then the current rate.
The manager at the bank we are talking to about a mortgage told us not to raise our offer because they will never get the price they are looking for. I'm thinking he'll call me back after tisha b'av to agree on my price but at the current exchange rate. I still don't think I will take it unless the rate goes back down.
