because i worked so hard these last 2 days i was granted a few more vacation days. we are going to NY for shabbos as the kids and devorah have winter break. after this i'll really need a vacation

WE BOUGHT THE TICKETS-- WE ARE COMMING TO ISRAEL ON FEB 21 ( just before Shilo's birthday ) AND STAYING UNTIL MARCH 9 ( just after sruli's birthday) .
Today is Bubba Becky's yartzheit and I had a siyum on Gemera Shabbos at the house and if i say so myself it was very nice. I think I am going to start Eruvin next.
We spent the entire day at home with a fire in the fireplace because it is such a rainy ichie day. Mom caught a cold from me so I let her beat me in scrabble (twice) to help her feel better.

we're back

we had a really great time on our 10th anniversary trip which was only 9 months late.

we went kayaking, and snorkeling. very cool!

mom and dad loved watching the kids so much they wanted to keep them for a few extra days even though we were back home. but i felt that was a little too much so we took the kids back for shabbos.

the topless guy in the kayak must have been drinking because it wasn't hot enough for that .

Birthday

We celebrated Batch's birthday with her this year by having her and Shifra and Eli for Shabbos. She was at no time intoxicated, just in case you were wondering. And, athough there were no candles, there was a chocolate on chocolate birthday cake. And, after sleeping 16 hours straight, we determined she was still alive, much to our relief.

Shevelah - Nineteen looks good on you, and we're very proud of the woman you are becoming!! (Even if the soup you made was actually made of chemicals...)
