St Louis was a lot of fun, the Holiday was spiritual and fun, and then we went to mom in laws farm, and had a great time. While mom in law's farm doesn't really have animals, we did go to a couple of "real" farms and saw animals, Jonah had a great time. We also we canoeing/boating in the lake across the street. Here are some pictures from our great time.

Chilling in a boat with the Fam

Look at the shofars on this guy

AHHHHH He's Eating Jonahs hand ;(
No shofars or ears on this milk giving goat.

I Became a Grandmother

Ephraim bought himself two lovebirds and a cage and lots of other bird stuff today. I think I'm in love....

Maybe this solves my whole "best friend issue."

At least they're not cats.

Loopy

Just wanted to check in with all you people and let you know I BLAME MY SISTERS-IN-LAW COMPLETLY for my losing the ability to make new friends. If you hadn't been so great, I might have looked elsewhere and worked on my people skills. Now I can't remember what it's like to connect with a stranger. With you guys around I didn't need other friends except the ones I made before I met you. Seriously think about it. Who are my close Detroit friends? Yup. Met them when I was 20.

You guys stink...

Chatimah Tova! :)

Excuses!

Hey Everyones out there!!
Ok, as the Zacks' living in Israel discovered I did in fact make it home on schedule. I appologize for my lack of communication until now...but I have excuses and as usual...it's not my fault. To make this easiest on us all I am going to put together a list of reasons why it's not my fault and ya'll can just pick the ones you want.

1. My internet is down - no internet, no american line
2. My phone died and no americans have tried calling me since my new phone was brought into my life.
3. When I was at R&V's with an american line I was so out of it, I didn't think to utilize the phone
4. The phone number I use to magically call america for free is not working :(
5. I am too lazy to buy a phone card and stand outside and use it...

If none of those reasons are good enough...well, i'm sorry to hear that :)

The Dishwasher

(story apppearing on both Loop and Just Shu)

She has sat there patiently for nearly two and half years, sadly watching as I did her job. She wondered, why won't they trust me to clean the dishes, I'm kosher, I work, if only they would let me help, life would be so much easier for them.

Despite her good intentions she was pretty much ignored, she spoke to her agent and wanted to be traded to a house that would use her talents, not waste them- by making her store extra things. Don't worry she was told, one day they'll make the call and you'll get show your talents.

Last night she received the call, it was time to shine, for some unknown reason the manager had decided that dishwasher would get a chance to strut her stuff. She cleaned about as well can be expected after a long layoff, cleaning probably 80% of the dishes.

She said if they knew how to use her properly she would have done a better job. Obviously the owners are clueless, they don't even own her special juice, needed to borrow it from teh neighbors. The owners have promised to learn how to utilize her talents, but her the juice she needed to run, and use her more frequently. But she must perform or be sent down to the basement, where appliances and extra furniture go to live out their remaining days.

long time...

Hey all it's been a while since I last "looped" not that much has been going on. Jonah is doing great, he enjoys being two, but I think he needs more friends, or learn how to play by himself. Whenever he's home with us, he needs us to always play with him, so I told him to find some friends the other day

Nat and I are doing great, we are going to St Louis for Rosh Hashana, and then to the "farm" to visit mom in law and Greg for a a few days.

I may have a succah, which is important since we may have company for Succos. Someone was selling their Succah, but when I got there he discovered that he no longer has the canvas part of the canvas succah. So I took the frame and teh bamboo, and I will hopefully be able to get canvas from Home Depot, or a store like that.

That's all and Happy Rosh HaShana to all

Hey Everyone

I finally got a job. I am going to be a marketing writer for an Israeli company that works in English.

I just thought you'd all like to know.

Dav

I had a great time hanging out with you yesterday, and I have two comments about the experience:

1. I still consider you a freak of nature that the entire world eats shoko or shoko-vanil, and you only order vanil. But that's OK.

2. You missed quite a skirt hunt when you had to go. I went to three stores. It was almost like going to the mall with me in the D.

Thanks for sending me the WYCD link. I registered and listened to the morning show live this afternoon. There is apparently a large increase of drunk driving in the Detroit Metro area.

do you believe in the tooth fairy?

devorah does not! she equated the tooth fairy with santa claus...can you believe that??
here's the story, Yael lost a tooth yesterday, very cute and all, but at the time she lost it she didnt even notice! devorah was out of the house at the time and when she came back in she said ael lost her tooth, we then loked and agreed with her assessment. then we had to find the tooth, so we looked high nand low and someone actually found it! i say go put it under your pillow and toothfairy will come, she said theres no such thing as a tooth fairy, MOMMY TOLD HER. well i said fine and her mommy told her if she puts it under her pillow then WE will come in the midle of the night and give her a present! WHAT!!!! whats the point of leaving money if the kid knows theres no fairy, plus we left the tooth so yael can keep it, WHAT ABOUT tHE TOOTH FAIRY!!!! so anyway she puts the tooth under her pillow and in the middle of the night her sheets needed to be changed ( this is not a normal occurence) but I didnt even know that she found the tooth, so i wrapped up all of the sheets and then she started crying her tooth was in there, and she needed it, so i searched and finally it was found so she went back to sleep and in the morning she got found a quarter under her pillow and was very happy, so she wanted to put her tooth in her drawer and i suggested she wash it first, so she did AND it went down the drain! she wasnt a hapy person when that happened so i explained that obviously hashem didnt want her to have that tooth, as first he took it out of her mouth and it was lost and then it got lost in the middle of night and then it got washed down the sink. i told her gam zo ltovah and it must have been a very dangerous tooth that someone might accidentally get hurt by it so that seemed to calm her down . in the end she doesnt have the tooth and she soesnt believe in the tooth fairy ....theres still hope for shira

mmm mmm good

we just finished our gala american family zacks labor day weekend bbq! it was at OUR house with OUR new grill. it was fun, we had dad and the gabi and milaines. there was STEAK and hot dogs and baked beans baby! and chips and corn on the cob and salad and watermelon for desert. we hoped that our bbq would be meshtatef with the bbq in NY celebrating the bas mitzvah of tzipporah. so in reality we were all together in th smoke filled atmosphere of labor day weekend bbq's. i also put in hickory smoker woodchips, i dont think they really did anything, any clues how to really use them?
have a good week,
