Welcome Home Shev!!!

So, I'm looking at my calender and realizing that Shev's Aliyah Date (and our Aliyahversary) is fast approaching. I wanted to double check when Shev is landing and see about the ceremony and when I went on the NBN website and checked her flight - it said Registration Closed!!!!

Did you guys already register?? What's the plan?
Also, we're thinking of an Aliyahversary BBQ at our house at some point.... Anyone interested?

Potential Plans

So...what are the Americans end of December plans? Anything going on? Anyone on break from school or whatever?
I'm checking into the small possibility of coming to the States then.....

Its been a coon's age !

Greetings- Its been a coon's age since I last blogged.

We had a great time entertaining Gyli (sp) and will be sending her back to Canada in the morning. We Maid of the Misted- camped- swam- biked ( short bike trip- it began to rain)-played dominos. Now I need a vacation.

October 28th- that is our estimated time of arrival in the Holy Land

TORAH QUESTION. As i was reviewing the sidra , I noticed that if a man and woman had an out of context interpersonal relationship in the field- than the gentleman is stoned while the lady goes free because if she cried out- no one would have heard her. Question, For the man to be stoned there had a be 2 witnesses and warning given "toch kiday dibbur. ". How can it be that no one could hear the lady cry out?? signed: Confused in Southfield

He's Baaaaaaaack!

And he's speaking a mixture of British and Italian. Case in point: He said that the "cricket match was brilliant," but said "S'cusie" to the people blocking us on the people mover.

As a side point, why do people get on a people mover and stand still. Isn't it for moving faster, not slower? It isn't an escalator!!!!

so here's the deal

we were looking into getting an 8 seat toyota sienna last week, and then we decided that an 8 seat was too many unless of course we have twins then we would need all 8 seats, so we went for the seven seater, well i went on thursday and spoke to a guy and told him that i wantd a car that evening thurday as we were driving to NY and i wanted to go in a new car, it would give me something to do for the first few hours look through all the new things and whatnot, but anyway he told me that we MAY be able to get the car thurdsday but its at a different dealerdship and theres difficulty getting cars from other places, especially on a thursday because its much busier, he finally told me he couldnt get the car for me at abut 7:30 pm, while we were at sara's eating with batch and parents and gaily. well we left detroit at about 9 pm and the guy told me if i gave him th info needed, title and insurance proof blah blah blah, then he may be able to get the car for me even though i wasnt there, oh yeah the cars for clunkers ends monday night, and CLIFFORD QUALIFIED so now we went to NY and thought we had to be back by monday 8pm, so over shabbos the guy called and said its not so simple, i need to be there because there are so many people doing this cash for clunkers thing that their computer crashed today and i need to be there monday early afternoon now we are in NY and i guess we will be leavng sunday night instead of monday
just wantd to share that with you, and one more thing, the twins thing isnt real :)

No water

On Friday night the Health Ministry decided that the drinking water in Modiin wasn't fit to be drunk unless it was boiled for ten minutes. An automatic call went out to everyone, but being Friday night a lot of people didn't answer. So they sent people out to all the shuls to hang up signs not to drink the water. I found that very thoughtful of the water company.

My little girl is on her way to play in the old country. Her Daddy insists that she is a big girl, but I think she is still my little girl.
Have fun Gaily.

On another note note I hope that my eldest is helpful to her aunt and uncle and also has fun.

Just three little kids at home, what do I do now. I have to entertain again.

For those of you who are interested, you can watch as games are updated, and check out everyone's stats at the following website:

Click where it says Baseball Allievi in Arezzo (August 3-5) and in Siena (August 6-9). They aren't playing in Grosseto this year.
