fireworks

as i was sitting in my house this evening trying to do some computer work (my computer is all better b'h) i heard many fireworks going off. all i could think about was, this is what Maalot is like in the summertime. luckily we only had to put up with it for a half hour.
enjoy dinner!

Down the toilet it goes

Sorry, this post has nothing to do with fecal matter, urine or any potty training story.

A few weeks ago it was ocean week for Jonah at Gan, at the end of the week he was given two fish to take home, to care for and cherish for the rest of their lives. The fish must have been doing well for themselves because in the week they were living in casa de la bathroom, they had upgraded their living conditions twice. They started in a small simple Studio apartment with no furniture or decorations. They quickly moved into a larger circular bowl, with a nice bed of rocks. They enjoyed that home for a day or so, when they decided to upgrade yet again. This time to a taller larger home, with filter, and a skylight in a nicer neighborhood - Jonah's room.

They seemed happy, got one meal a day handed down to them from heaven, similar to the man. And this morning tragedy struck. The orange fish dropped dead. The black fish was so distraught, he didn't know what to do so he started eating his buddy. That's when Nat saw him , and had me flush him to Hashem, as we told Jonah.

The black fish has been pretty depressed, realizing how close he came to eating fish, which he acknowledged is gross. So he is just staring at the walls of palace, wondering if he will ever find a fried again.

Eye Travel

Eye Travel click here to go to the Eye Travel web site and learn more.

In 1994, Dr. Zacks saw his first in-home patient. The patient, who had come to his Howell-based office for 17 years, had recently suffered a stroke, and was no longer able to leave the house.

Recognizing the needs of in-home patients, Dr. Zacks began seeing patients in their home with increasing frequency. By the end of 1995, Dr. Zacks sold his Howell practice, and began Eye Travel, Michigan's only dedicated home eye care practice.

Since 1995, Dr. Zacks and his growing staff has cared for over 10,000 home-bound residents, providing a level of eye care that was previously unavailable.

His patients include anyone who is unable to leave the home, be it because of age, weather, illness or any other reason.

uh oh

my hard drive crashed! that means i had to spend 1 week talking to compaq trying to get some crazy Indian to understand that my computer is still under warranty and that i bought it in july and not in March. after i unsuccessfully tried that, i had office depot call them and tell them the same thing which then worked. so i called finally on friday and got to speak to a non-indian named darwin , the indians had names such as gracie, mark, and tom. gracie had never heard of office depot at which point i told her that it was a big store in AMERICA. and maybe i can talk to a supervisor at which point she told me that due to heavy call volumes i would not be able to . i asked her if in her entire indian com[pany there wasnt anybody above her to tlk to and she repeated that due to heavy call volumes there was no one available. back to my story on friday, darwin got confused when he told me that my hard drive was failing and i needed a new one which was under warranty and he can get it to me in just under 3 weeks. because its on backorder. i told that was unacceptable and i needed it sooner and im sure there are 3rd party places where they can get me my new hard drive. he put me on hold for 5 minutes and then said he can get me one for 235 dollars i told him, that since its under warrantythere would be no charge, and he said now you are confusing me, so i requested a supervisor who was promptly put on the phone 10 minutes later. he couldnt (wouldnt ) help me so i asked for HIS supervisor. she said theres nothing they can do to make the hard drive come faster but she will personally look after the order to make sure i get it as soon as possible. i talked with her about customer service and how to actually help a customer but she didnt seem interested in what i had to say,
so to sum it all up, DONT BUY HP COMPAQ COMPUTERS, and the office depot guy told me TOSHIBA is a lot worse than HP.

So Proud...

On the second page there is a picture of you-know-who in a catcher's uniform. And a quote by his daddy on page 3 in the second paragraph... paraphrased of course...

Goings on

Here is what has been happening with us

- We spent a great week in Seattle, for Brother in law Adrians Law school graduation. The restaraunt situation wasn't great, we had vegetarian chinese food and bagels many times. Luckily we did have a couple of BBQ's.

- Sammy sleeps all the time.

- Jonah is just starting potty training, he's wore underwear (haha I made you read underwear) today for the first time, and only had a few accidents. (Sorry no poop pictures, yak)

- Tomorrow is my first full day working for the family business, I'll be handling the marketing aspect of being an Eye Doctor.

- Today we met with an Aliyah Shliach, it was interesting, we are still in the early stages of trying to figure this out. I guess our next step is a pilot trip, to see if we really want to make the move. Not sure when that will be, I'm guessing whenever the cheapest time to fly to Israel will help determine our timeframe.

Thats all for now

Projecting

F's birds did it again! They have three eggs that the mommy is currently sitting on. F gives them bird food every couple of days and he also gives them sunflower seeds as a "treat." Today he came over to me and told me he's not giving them any more sunflower seeds until either the birds hatch or the gestation period has passed.

He says the "treat" distracts the mom too much and she keeps getting up off her eggs, and he's worried they won't hatch.

IM A SENIOR!!!

im a senior!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is it...my last year of high school...

Kov...you can be proud...

I received an e-mail special from jajah for israel independance day that if i bought $20, they'd give me 300 free minutes to be used by the end of June. I used up the $20 and they said i need to buy more talk time. I sent them an e-mail saying what the heck, and they asked for the e-mail, i sent it to them and they said they'd credit my account $12 (300 minutes if i use my landline) i said, no no i generally use my cell phone and that would only be 131 minutes... anyway, i'm waiting to here back from them :)

this may be why ya'll haven't heard from me in a while....

Whew- I finally figured out how to get on to the LOOP

SAD NEWS

$20,000
80,000 NIS
100,ooo zlatys

That is the approximate cost of the proposed Succot trip which unfortunately is too big a price tag and therefore I regret to inform the olom that the trip is being post-poned until my LOTTO number wins.

on a brighter note- Chana weingarden nee Gutman just had a baby boy. Mazel Tov to the mispahacha

I shall continue to let my imagination run free and try and figure out another Israeli trip.

Mazel Tov

Moshe is engaged to Tifarah Cohen!!

The Israel trip

Dad wants us all to get together in a chat room and discuss what we want to do when we are in Israel, where we want to be for first and last days and fun things like that. Any ideas when we can do this.

Unemployed

It's official...I drove to Pittsburgh this morning and resigned from the Vice Presidency of my company. It was an emotional day, but I made the right choice, I resigned just before they terminated my position. So now I have a week of unemployment- which we will spend in Seattle- and then I will join the Family Business and work from Eye Travel
