This is a great Israel story

3 months ago when we went to Israel to meet Shlomo, I left my siddur , a small art scroll, at the kotel the day we were leaving . On this trip I went back to the kotel hoping that I would find my siddur because who would take a siddur from the kotel but alas I did not find it. On my return home yesterday there was a package from bnei brak. Someone found my siddur on hoshana raba and mailed it back to me. WOW. I am so impressed. Mom said we should send a thank you note and reimburse him for the cost of shipping. I am not sure about reimbursing him because it may seem insulting to him. It did cost about 20 shekels. What is your opinion- Should I send him back the postage or perhaps send it with a note saying that if he didnt want the payback to give it to tzedakah. I await your opinion

The Miracle

This morning I was in one room, and I heard noise coming from the living room, it sounded the Miracle of the Macabees tape. I was so excited, I thought maybe Veev had slipped it to Nat (or Nat stole it) as a surprise for the American family. I said "is that what I think it is?" It wasn't, it was the morning news. In my defense I think they had mentioned a battle (first couple of lines on tape)

Since I don't have the tape, I searched the Loop archives and found the audio link.
Shlomo, if you haven't heard the tape, it's a must listen to for all our people.

Welcome to the World!

These are Sari and Yoel's identical twins, Noa and Avigail! They were born last Wednesday, and are starting to look human now. Noa, on the right, was born the larger of the two, weighing in at 5lb 7oz., a mere 3 oz. smaller than my girly was at birth. Avigail, weighing 4 lb. 9 oz., was in the "preemie" room for a few days and is now doing great!

1. i can only put a very limited amount of pictures in my yearbook, so im gonna have to take some of the family ones from the wedding. are there any of all the grandkids?

2. ok...so ads. im asking each of you guys for $20 and an ad...you can email me whatever it is you wanna say and send the money home with mom, or send me a check in the mail. make it out to yeshiva girls yearbook. if you dont wanna pay 20 bucks, you can pay less, dont worry about it but try cuz i need money lol

the loooooong ride home

was very long but we made it b'h and now we are home! the kids behaved like children on the plane, but that was expected, the only real uncontrolled meltdown was the redhead with 5 minutes left to the detroit bound flight, so oh well. everyone hated us on theplane for the last few minutes but afterwards we told them that this was the end of 15 hours on a plane and i think they forgave her. in terms of food, gping was MUCH better than coming home. going we had turkey dinner with some vegetables but for breakfast there was granola bars, and fruit and bananas YUM coming home the dinner was gross looking turkey balls and breakfast was orange juice from france (no hechsher) mars chocolate bars no hechsher, andno fruit and no granola bars it was very disappointing, anywho
we had a great time with all a y'all and cant wait to see everyone again

p.s. 2 pm we are starting to have uncontrolled meltdowns all around, HELP HELP what do we do???????

Early ending

Thanks to The Good Lord, I am feeling much better. Sorry we had to duck out early. Who knows why The Holy One wanted us home for Shabbat, but sometimes good things also come out of bad things. We all had a very restful shabbat, Naomi was here for Shabbat Yirgun, and performed in the dance motzei Shabbat. We called one friend on the way home and asked her to throw on an extra chicken for us and she made us a feast. When my other friends found out on shabbat that we came back early and didn't have food, they were all upset they did not get to help. It's wonderful to have friends.
So B'nei Akiva is very interesting. As a first time parent entering the fold I was astounded by how cultish, But we are now part of it all. Wish us luck!!
We were very happy to spend time with ya'll, It was geat. The kids played so nicely and it was fun, looking forward    to the next big party. LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Shefa (An Abundance of) Brachot

It was awesome, Guys! Thank you to all those who helped with set-up, clean-up, and those who wanted to, but I kicked out! A special thank you to Golda who is amazing as always at keeping me light and happy, and to my Dear One who worked while he cleaned up and set up and cleaned up again.
