I have taken my role as Sruli's aunt extremely seriously. Thus far I have educated my little nephew of the following:

1. If you hurt the trees, the birdies won't have anywhere to sit.
2. Hold hands when you cross the street.
3. Smoking causes early death.
4. You must walk slowly in the mall, never rush.
5. Let the people out of the elevator before you try to get on.

I told Sruli the first four out loud, but the last one was only implied. But I could tell he was just as digusted by the rude behavior as his mother and I were.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Sammy!!!!!
He celebrated his birthday by staying up until after midnight last night and until about 9:30 tonight. That's way past his 7 pm bedtime.
We're having his birthday party at his daycare aka "Maon" next Wednesday (on his JEWISH birthday). They gave us a list of things we need to provide. Here it is:

2 Chocolate "Ugot Habayit" made by Osem with birthday candles (Why do they specify chocolate?) Ugot Habayit are the long thin cakes.

4 big bags of Osem Bamba (ewwwww)

1 kilo Vaflim (aka wafers)

2 kilo baygala (aka pretzels)

2 big packages of "Tapuchips" (aka potato chips)

1 package of balloons

2 big packages of "Apropro" (I think those are like bugels)

and 30 surprises for all his little friends!!! (We bought mini xylophones in Maalot)

What happened to a cupcake for each kid? Doesn't that seem like a LOT of food for a bunch of little 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 year olds? 30 to be exact.....

For a country that is supposedly so healthy, my kids have never in their lives eaten this amount of junk!!

Enjoy your last day of Pesach for those in Chutz La'Aretz! We enjoyed our yummy pizza last night AND today!

Pesach

We had 2 really great seders. the 1st was with us, the Yaakovs', and the Lazars'. The kids were up and asked questions and told stories. ChanaElana came with a full size flat laminated picture of her with velcro on the hands to hold all the different things for the order of the seder. That was fun to have!!
The 2nd seder, we added the Stebbins' family. We started later and went longer, marshmallows were flying at the kids everytime a question was asked or a question answered. It made for a lively bunch of kids (thanks Yaakov). The weather was beautiful during the days and we all got to be outside at some point too.
Shabbos was just a continuation of the 3 day holiday, and we had the senior weisbergs to add to our fun!!
we missed you all, but had a great time here in galus.
